This document contains some of the most common non-compliances in relation to the M&S Global Sourcing Principles and the ETI Base Code, ranked according to whether they are critical, major or minor.

New factories with critical issues will not be accepted for M&S production.

Existing factories that are found to have critical issues must be referred in the first instance to the relevant M&S Social Compliance Manager.

Any form of involuntary work e.g. unpaid, bonded, forced, trafficked.

Employees who refused overtime are penalized e.g. threats of dismissal, pay cuts, demotions.

Employees are not able to resign.
